((Hugs)) and anything else that might help to ATB. As all the others have said, we're all here for you. Xx
Well done duckydo and Piggers, so glad LW is ok. Hopefully we'll hear from her soon.
More ((hugs)) to duckydo. As Bossy says, counselling is tough. Tomorrow is a new day. Xx

As for life in Fayolle-land, I think someone has cut my days down to 12 hours, as I seem to run out of time in the day! Every day! So this morning, I cleared the ironing pile, took DD and her many bags to school, then dropped by the market for f&v. Back home, abandoned the shopping, then back out for a short jog. Way too hot, so we walked every time we got to shady bits. ;) Back for a shower, then a quick trip ( ahem, maybe an hour or so) to the allotment to find the veg from amongst the weeds. Dashed back home to go back out to the dentist, home to water the pots (30 minutes dead heading as my MAD), then back out to volunteer for a couple of hours. Oh yes, WM x 2 run and dried. Hello, ironing pile again!

ETA ... happy birthday, dancemum :bdaycake:

    Morning!

Aww, DS was worried this morning :( he seemed to think he would have to find his own way to the new classroom (it's upstairs) and he doesn't know where the toilets are. Bless him! I did explain the whole class will be taken together. I also suggested his new teacher might be nervous, DS only doesn't know the teacher, the teacher doesn't know all 29 pupils lol.

DD announces "I'm not scared, I'm excited" haha helpful as ever.

Going to clean the downstairs loo and conservatory today I think. Waiting in for a delivery.

  • Morning all,

Belated birthday wishes Dancemum, and I'm really pleased LW ok, thanks for your efforts Piggers & Ducky x
Been for a run this morning, what a stupid idea it was boiling! Doggy did not enjoy it either, but at least she could jump in the beck every time we passed near it. I'm just off for a shower, then will crack on with the list until 1.00pm, when it should be sports day. If the rain holds off, one has already been cancelled.
    See you all later x

Thanks for your kind wishes friends. I can't say anymore about what it is - fear of someone from RL reading - but your well wishes mean the world, they really do.

After 48 hours of no sleep, snapping at everyone including the children :( and eating nothing but biscuits and bread I have framed myself and had a better day today. Which has included rage tidying DD wardrobe so the charity shop benefited. Also made myself a proper dinner for tonight, kids have had a gorgeous roast chicken dinner and now we are getting sorted for early nights all round.

Nothing has stuck so I will just send hugs to all. I will post again as soon as I can - Bossy would love to meet up next week if you have time, PM me your number xx

Folks, I'm so sorry to have worried you all - gods, is it really a month since I posted?? I am terrible on tracking passage of time, I'd have sworn it was just a couple of weeks.
Long story short - Mr LW started getting bad back "twinges" as he called them, on holiday; thankfully we had my infra-sonic device with us, so were able to calm the worst of the pain. But it's meant me doing most of the "hoisting about" tasks since then - we got a nice member of the hotel staff to put our suitcases in the car, and we unloaded them by emptying them onto my wheeled trolley, a bit at a time, whilst they were still in the boot, then I just lugged the empty cases out to bring indoors. I'm sure the neighbours must've thought we'd completely lost it!

RL has also bowled us several googlies - including more mix-ups with my medication (how difficult is it for the peeps at the surgery to read the blasted request??) and my anxiety kicked in big-time, probably as a result of this, which has meant I have spent longer on each task as you can't work efficiently when you are physically shaking, having palpitations the whole time, and having to dash to the loo to throw up on a boringly regular basis.

My Frog list is now the size of "War & Peace" - every time I clear one, two more appear to take it's place, it seems; and I have had to simply be very disciplined and say no personal stuff to be indulged in until the day's allotted tasks are completed. Which unfortunately doesn't happen; by 21:00 I'm in a state of collapse, and certainly not able to string a coherent sentence together.

Anyways, I'm hoping that after the next week or so things will start to calm down a bit - I'm pleased to say I've finally got to the bottom of what's wrong with Mr LW's back, and it's something I believe we can sort ourselves, rather than him waiting a month to see the GP only to be put on a gods-know-how-long waiting list for physio.

I'm afraid I haven't had chance to read the Fred - so posi-vibes and (((HUGS))) where they're needed; I must go and crack on now - I'll be back to posting properly as and when Loki decides to go and pick on someone else.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

So good to see you, LW, and hopefully see you back full time very soon.

Well done ATB. More ((hugs)) because it sounds like you need them.

So this morning started on a roll. I stuck the curtain linings, that I had finally got round to replacing with black out ones, into the WM to be done before going to work. Took out said linings and it was like a snow storm! Although I had followed the washing instructions, the coating had disintegrated in the WM. Cue much muttering as I then not only had to hang out the offending linings, shaking "snow" everywhere, but also had to sweep the floor and clean out the inside of the WM. Not a happy bunny....

Came back from work and did a quick top up shop at the nearest Co-0p, then forced myself to clean the bathroom and downstairs loo. Then vaccummed the bedroom floor, before flaking out from the heat. I obviously peaked early, as I have done nothing since. Just pulled some tea together for me and DD, then will try to muster the energy to water the pots again. Can't face my MAD of paperwork right this minute....
