Good to "see" you LW xx

Didn't realise it was so late. I have half a floor in my hallway :T might pop to carpet place in the morning...

Today has disappeared in a whirl and I'm not sure what I've done, it was hot hot hot this afternoon but none of the forecast storms. I did clean out the piggy hutch. And do the whole gymnastics / football merry-go-round. And eat too much

Off to bed now. Will do better tomorrow!

Many thanks for your post, LW. Hope MrLW makes a speedy recovery.

    More (((hugs))) to atb.

Yesterday was hot! But I spent an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening clearing 1/3 of the borders in the back garden - it looks sooooooooooo much better now! Everything is terribly dry, but the new outside tap makes watering very much easier, and means that we don't have to carry full cans so far. I have sunk a flowerpot next to my poor little apple tree and am giving it a drink every time I walk past it. It has already perked up in 24 hours.

The morning was spent at the optician's with DH. We found some specs that suited him very well - like oversized Harry Potter glasses - but the frame was too small for him and isn't made in larger sizes, so he has had to have his second choice :(

Oh, and I walked through another shop and bought a lovely folding wooden bistro set (reduced price :money:) for the back garden. We sat outside to eat our lunch

I also made good the wall in the utility where the plumber had drilled a hole for the water pipe to go through, so today I can put everything back.

In the afternoon I had one of my end-of-placement conversations at a GC cafe but was not tempted to cakes or plants. Very useful chat.

Then DH and I went to look for a dog at a rehoming centre. Found one we both liked, but it was new in and being assessed today, available for rehoming from tomorrow. We would both have to go together to reserve it, but unfortunately DH is working on the railway tomorrow, so we shall not get that one :(

Today I am planning to sort out all the tools and hardware before putting them away. We seem to have acquired 3 large and 5 small paint roller trays, and have pot after pot of old used screws. Did I tell that my DH is a hoarder?

(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round x

    Morning flyers

have two (small) loads of washing on the line - I wash by colour, so this happens with reds/oranges particularly. I have now washed all DD's muddy run 'outfit' and am pleased to say it is all clean - careful soaking/water changing did the trick!

DW run and emptied, sink drainer cleared and recycling taken out to bin.

Out on an errand shortly, then the paid stuff this afternoon.

I'm hoping for a more peaceful weekend - my watch battery gave up almost two weeks ago and I haven't had time (see what I did there) to take it for a replacement.

But I am on allotment duty next week as the Aged Ps are off to beautiful Budapest. Jo estat! (that's hello - don't know goodbye!)

Morning all. Hope you're all ok this morning.

Hugs to ATB, good to see LW posting again, and how exciting for Iona to be getting a dog.

I have finally caught up with the dailies this morning. DH is on holiday from tomorrow although I am still working next week, so I don't expect to get a lot done.

Paid stuff now and DH is treating me to a meal out tonight to start his hols.

    Have a great day everyone.

Major panic clean and shop today. I've been so scatty and lethargic and I have guests tomorrow afternoon/evening. They are Dr friends of DH so best spit and polish.

Have done menu plan. Going to drag DH to shops on way home from CrossHouse hospital - he still can't drive. The living/dining room tidy, downstairs hoover.

I have got to fit in a trip to the gym (DH didn't fancy sitting waiting while I went at 0630.) Then a trip to opticians and pick up the nice local meat I ordered for tomorrow.

Chances of BBQ weather - low, so it's all interchangeable.

    And breathe:D

    Morning!

I'm just hanging around at the moment, I ought to put a wash on. Feels upside down with hallway stuff in the living room...

Have taken some laundry away, tidied LR, refilled DD hair detangling stuff, emptied DW and washed the breakfast things. Don't really know what else to do!

I suppose I could go sort the den and my desk, maybe form a bit of a plan. I don't want to pop out yet in case I need to go for more flooring, slightly concerned we will be one plank short and I'll have to buy a whole pack for it

Finger swollen, must sort my lettuce pot, suspect there may be a nettle in the bottom  ouch. In fact, I could do with de-weeding the top patio too :(

Yesterday was spent doing bits in other rooms that I hadn't quite finished off, and dusting and hoovering upstairs. Which meant that the house was 'clean' i.e. majority was clean, just picky bits like skirting boards etc which get left most of the time seeing as they need sanding and painting anyway.

Today, I decluttered a physio appointment this morning, shoulder is doing well, been given new exercises to do. Physio thought I was inventive using my improvised 1kg weight (a 500ml bottle of water filled with wet sand) :) Quick stop at Mr T to do a top up shop, and DD had a go on one of those ride of car things outside the shop. This afternoon we've just been playing while watching the tennis, and making quick runs up the stairs for little wee's (oh the joy of potty training!), and I've also been trying to read dodgy handwriting from 1860s censuses; going through DH family tree to what I've missed.
