Tax Credits Review Team

I recieved a letter this morning from the Tax Credits Reveiw Team saying because they havent heard from me for a while they need to make sure the have the correct details to make sure I am in reciept of the right amount of money. I havent been in touch with them because I didnt have any reason to. Is this anything to be concerned about?

you should have completed a review pack in April/May time. If you don't do that they'll stop the payments completely. If you did that (and they've acknowledged it) I wouldn't be overly worried. But if you've had no acknowledgement then I'd give them a call to make sure they received it. If you've not already done it, then get it done ASAP.Cheryl0

I always complete my review back cos i get help with childcare. Do you think its just a random just to check things are right? I phoned the tax credits helpline but they said they cant help cos it has come from a different department. It isnt signed by anybody or have a named contact, just says to ring the office to check my details are right.0

This hasnt got anything to do with the renewals. If you havent been in touch with TCO at all or for quite a while they want to make sure they still have all your up to date details.
You should call the number on the letter, not the regular helpline number, as they will review your details.
It's nothing to worry about if you haven't had any reason to call them.0 -

has anyone else had a letter from Tax Credits Review Team asking them to call Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm 01253502012
I have called them and they said they were just wanting to check my circumstances had not changed as they had not heard from me for a while - did my renewal with them over the phone back in July.
asked me to confirm ch/care wages etc etc....
anybody else had a call?
reason I ask is I have never had a letter like this before and it concerns me
anybody got any views?

Yes, but I think that mine was due to the lack of a PAYE reference number - it was Wednesday or Thursday0

I've had calls in the past, but they have been later in the year. Mine was due to the renewal information - I had indicated there would be some increases in pay and they just wanted to get the figures right from the next April.
If you are unhappy at taking the call and giving information to who could be anyone, phone them back.0
