My combi is 11 years old and leaking heavily from the heat exchanger and not worth the money to repair it as its buried deep within!
I’m on low income and believe I would qualify for one of the government heating grants that pop up however I can’t find anything available at the moment so I’m going to have to save and scrap together whatever I can to buy a new combi, can anyone recommend the best sort of combi I could buy for £5-600 budget?
Regards glen

It is not the cost of the combi boiler itself that is the problem; but the cost of fitting.
At 11 years old there are probably new regulations with which the installer must conform(by law) - not to mention items like radiator flushing.0 -
The Which best buy at present is the Viessman 050 series but we are talking £800-900. I will probably be getting one in the spring myself as my present boiler is an old style non-condensing job. Have you tried going to Citizens' Advice to see if they can help with your current predicament?0

I have recently had one of those fitted in an annex and they are excellent - and whisper quiet.0 -
