Just got back from Spain with the Creation CC. Card easy to use but wish the website updated quicker as you have to take a guess at the exchange rate etc so you can make payment.
I am told by Creation when I rang up that the interest is but on at the end of the month so providing you have paid the card off before the statement is produced no interest would be applied. If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -

Of course this is not the case with cash advances. As to waiting for the cash advance to appear...why? Just overpay. Don't over complicate your life.0 -
I have both Halifax and Creation. I was keeping Halifax for cash and Creation for accommodation. I managed to block the Creation card in a guesthouse in KL. I had to wait to contact them as their lines only open at 8.30 am UK. Should be 24 hours. I was through quickly to an English speaking lady. Not being funny but sometimes i have difficulty understanding these helpline operators. She said I can unblock using pin services while overseas and change my PIN number. So far I've tried 8 different banks to no avail. I sent a "contact us" email using the online form which asked for a mobile number but wouldn't accept my current Malaysian number. My UK number is not much use when I've taken the sim out! They will get back to me within 5 days. Just my first experiences. Good luck happy travels...
I currently use the Saga card for travelling, zero charges and interest on foreign purchases, but it adds 2% or a minimum £2 for cash withdrawals (no interest). I like to have plenty of cash whilst abroad, and when recently on a trip to Euro 2016 I lifted £1,600 in a space of just over 2 weeks - Fees of £32.
I applied for Creation as I can pay the cash withdrawal off via bank transfer to reduce these costs, but whilst registering the card by phone just now they told me there is a limit of £300 per day cash withdrawal, and only £500 per week! That's not really a lot nowadays, especially on holiday, and would have caused me a few problems in France. It's also worth noting that although my credit amount on the card is £4,000, the limit out of that for cash withdrawals is just £1,200.
I'm not sure the savings I'll make on £500 per week is worth keeping 2 specialist travel cards, at the end of the day that's only going to cost me £10 with Saga. I may decide just to keep my Saga card and let the Creation one go.0 -

These were cash advances and I have not seen any interest on at all.If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -

You stated that you just got back, so why would you expect to see interest at this stage?
Unless you covered your cash advances with an online payment within a day or so, you will pay interest. It will appear on your statement. So if you cover the payment five days later, but before the statement is produced, you will pay five days worth of interest.0 -
Ah I've paid the same day.If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0

This is quite the ridiculous statement.
First of all, you should always have a fall back position. Secondly, what is it costing you to have two 'specialist travel cards?? I have six.0 -

You do know that the amount of "Credit" you have available can impair your chances should you need to apply for credit in the future? Don't you?0 -
