Hi all
Looking for some advise.
Would like to get away for sun this April - but where?
I need to go somewhere BA goes, as I am going to use Avois points.
For example we could go for:
Any thoughts? Or any other places in Europe that would be warm enough to sit by a pool for a week - or would we need to go further afield?
Thanks Mark

Went away in April to Portugal and weather was ok but no guarantees. Probably best going for somewhere like the Canaries if you want guaranteed sun.0

Canaries without a doubt. Temperature doesn't vary that much at all.0

Turkey looks warm ish too.0

I was in Turkey (Marmaris) last April. It wasn't super hot but warm enough for shorts and t-shirt.
Otherwise you can't go wrong with the Canaries, especially southern Tenerife.0 -
thanks everyone - suspect Canaries it might be - just a pity BA don't fly there! so cannot use my avois pointsWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Had 2 weeks in April along the Turkish Mediterranean coast a couple of years ago.
First week in Icmeler [Marmaris], and the weather was very stormy, as it was in much of Turkey at the same time. Lots of flooding and structural damage.
Second week we moved on to the Fethiye area, and the weather was perfect.
A good bet is to look at historical weather patterns for the say the last 3 years on Wunderground.....interactive, and gives useful info.
I've been in Istanbul in damp and chilly February, but only an hours flight south to Antalya the weather was perfect.0 -
