Stunning....was in Funchal for a day a couple of months ago on a Cruise. Very attractive place, on our Bucket List for the future.

We love it. Been three times and we've never go anywhere twice!

Walking on the island is amazing.
  • Unless you're BAEC Gold, you're going to struggle with April availability for redemption flights, particularly if its during the school break (which will be nigh on impossible now). Even Golds will struggle for that time period, but get additional availability offered to them.

I strongly advise looking at BA's reward flight finder and see where you could go and when (and be very flexible on your dates). That will narrow down your options for you.

If you phone BA, they can look at redemption across OneWorld for you.

We rate Madeira (Porto Santo is even better).

However whilst it is usually warm, it can get very heavy rain in spring.
