Update:
Today I received a letter from the court, giving the claimant 7 days to file the Direct Questionnaire, dated from August 8th.
I rang to confirm and so far they still have not received this.
When the 7 days elapses the claim will be struck out without further order.
So we shall see what happens by the 16th of this month.0 -
Update:
So the court hearing is on 4th December 2019.
I need to send off documents to the court and a witness statement. The court also told me if I don’t attend, as long as I have written with 7 days notice my evidence and statement will still be considered (I am guessing this is a bad idea?).0 -
It is a bad idea not to attend as you will not be there to counter anything the claimant may say!0

Have you written your WS already, and checked it supports your defence fully? Any evidence you have in addition to te WS itself MUST be led from the WS - so you reference exhibit initials/001 - a photo showing... and so on.
A WS is dead easy to write. Its a series of facts in your knowledge.0 -
Thanks guys, that is what I assumed. So attending won’t be a problem, oddly I’m looking forward to seeing how it all goes.
I’ve written a version of the WS yes but need to compile my evidence in a way that I can refer to.
I’m guessing my WS does not have to link to every point I’ve written in my defence but merely my account of what I believe to be true, using the evidence I have?0 -

I’ve tried searching for this ‘CEC16’ thread but nothing is coming up0
-
Why are you searching?
Why are you not just finding him in the members' list? It's his thread. He started it.
Or even easier, why haven't you just scrolled down the thread list for a few pages and look at the thread authors, till you get to his thread? It really is right under your nose as long as you are not using a phone.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ah okay, thanks.
I am using a phone sadly. I will scroll and find it. Thanks once again.0 -
I've just bumped it to the top! It now won't take any scrolling.
