You have to look at the positive - can get a better deal from existing provider if need be. You won't be in debt forever if you stay as committed as you have been and then you can be an MFW too and eliminate debt altogether.

You are doing so well Abba, both re weight loss and the debt, its definitely not for nothing. Your hard work is paying off, just not on the mortgage, not yet. But it will. This is just a blip. Hope you're being spoilt xxLBM 1st Feb 2015 £18182 to go

That's frustrating about the mortgage abba, but at least you can get a better deal with your lender. Every little helps!
Once you've cleared the debt, if you attack your mortgage with the same enthusiasm, you'll have that cleared in no time!

That's the plan........hubby becomes officially self employed next month so after speaking to the financial advisor he agreed with my plan to lock to the mortgage ear for three years this means bob has theee years self employed records as well as all the credit cards being clear, the car will be paid off and I'll make it my mission to get the loan cleared within that time scale as well plus I intend to over pay the mortgage by £51 which will mean I'll knock four years and five months off the mortgage term and we will put savings behind us.
So that's the three year plan I intend to smash it and be mortgage free by the time I'm fifty.......even better if I take was by the time I was 45 :rotfl: that would be pushing it :rotfl: I can dream
Like you say jwil we are still living and we have a holiday of a lifetime coming up so I plan to enjoy it as my kids are only little once
Sent £8.05 I think towards the Halifax card tomorrow I'll be down another hundred bracket :T
Manic Monday as usual waiting on our mortgage provider phoning me at 4.30pm then it'll be official as the FA has spent all weekend on it and he's got nothing so now I know exactly where we stand I feel much better about our situation
Off to pick the after schoolers up xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -

I'd love to be mortgage free by 50. I don't think it will happen, but I aim for it to be not too far after! If anyone can do it by 45 it will be you :rotfl:"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0
