So pleased you've found a way to break the habit, Stitchy.
 Pollyanna! It sounds as though you've also managed to find a way to break the habit, and if you lose some weight as well that's a real win:win! Good on you.Hello everyone,

Thanks everyone who replied to my post.
I do think I've broken the habit a little bit. I used to drink of an evening to relax, but now I don't feel the need to do that (as much). As in I used to get home and "panic" if there wasn't any wine in and so I used to buy wine on the way home just in case I felt like it. Which, of course, I always did!
I do still drink, but aim for 4 (ish) days a week AF. And I don't store any alcohol in the house as I would just drink it. Although having said that, I bought two bottles of wine last Friday and only drank the second one on Tuesday, so thought that was quite good.
My next aim is to cut down when I do drink. I seem to think that if I can't count it as a AFD, I might as well make it worth it and drink all round me. Which is really not good!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Yippee 10/15 tonight - very pleased double figures at last. I know exactly what you mean Pollyanna about buying wine on the way home - for me usually something about ' I deserve it' 's*d it I need a glass' or 'lets celebrate'. Yes any excuse will do. Still trying hard to keep to 3 or 4 days AF a week and monitoring amounts at the weekend - can sometimes open another bottle instead of stopping.0
