Got my final three payments made - a business week late.
One was to the Co-op.
Hey! Guess what? Their website is down this morning.

How did we ever manage before?
It's not about coping differently, just about expectations having changed over the years.0 -

Unwise, because although FPs "usually" reach the recipient within two hours (and most seem to be instant), that is not a guarantee. The guarantee is by the end of the next working day.
Maybe "guarantee" is inappropriate, but that's the legal requirement imposed by the (second European) Payment Services Directive.0 -

Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?0 -
Friday's payment still hadn't gone through this morning, so while I had resolved to wait till Monday and take a view I decided to call Lloyds and get some clarity in lieu of any online messaging.
Their advice was, if the payment had not gone through by now then resend it, which I did and it (seemed) to work straight away.
While I was there I asked about compensation for the cost of the calls - which they were happy to cover along with a further amount for inconvenience. They were also happy to cover charges caused by the delayed payment, but I made them aware that didn't apply in this case. So there you have it, if you feel aggrieved - complain or switch

Payment still not sent from Friday
The online messaging seems to have disappeared from my online account and similar to a previous poster, I am sure I did not ask to delete it.
No message to retry sending payment (and the problem with phone calls is there is no evidence later)
But there is twitter
Last message on @AskLloydsBankFaster Payments are now being processed but there may be a delay in processing some payments. We continue to advise customers they shouldn’t submit second payments to avoid duplicates. We’re sorry for any inconvenience & assure customers they won’t be out of pocket as a result.0 -
I know the above tweet was made on Friday (18th) but someone, or rather some people, are using the account right now!

You'd have thought they'd have updated the account if there was any update
