I use a blue badge - so am I being selfish to myself ?

My disabled step daughter had a blue badge but no car of her own as she was unable to drive, my disabled sister has a blue badge and a car. Neither always use the same vehicle so by limiting the badge to the registration number it would severely limited their mobility options.

So to answer your question you would be being selfish to others.

And I am also fed up with non-blue card holders lparking their 4x4's in the spaces reserved for disabled...
What can be done about them ?
And whilst I am on my bandwagon - how many people genuinely have mobility problems and how many are just lazy ?
I struggle to walk and see many elderly people virtually running away from their blue badge parked cars ..

Report them to the car park owner.

    Anyone's guess.

Will surely it's down to their doctor and or local council to be more discretionary in issuing badges.

Moaning an a Moneysaving website won't solve the issue. Take it up with your local council and or MP.

Just wish they would put the photo in the top side, that way it would be a lot easier to see potential abuse.

    How?

Once the vehicle is parked and unattended there’s no one to compare the photo to.

Exactly which you can't see from outside the windscreen. If the photo was on the top it would be visible and therefore in some cases possibly be obvious if it was being abused.

Exactly - the only "constant" is the vehicle itself !

    Sometimes enforcement sometimes nothing.

If you’re talking your local Asda you’ve no more right to the space than anyone else.
