Every year our village has the possibility to join the 'X in bloom' / 'flowering village' programme, and every year, I do. All I need to do is keep an eye out for the local brochure in March, submit my details, and then, in May, I can pick up my 8 free plants. This year, they added a 'bee-friendly village' package: 2 flowering plants (campanula and lavender) and flower seeds for 40m2. €15.

€55 refund from health insurance company for the youth movement (similar to scouts) camp dd1 went on last year. It was for 11 days and only cost €107, so that turns out really cheap, and really good for dd1! The health insurance has a 'everybody fit' incentive programme, where you can send the form from the camp, signed by the camp organisers, and they will refund €5/day.
