Athensgeorgia, have you managed to get anywhere with the appeal for your daughter's school? I hope so. Must be really stressful for you all

I had my laparoscopy yesterday so feeling very sore and trying to rest. I was told things looked okay by a nurse but have a more in depth consultation with doctor in a few weeks' time. I am hopeful that with a more positive outlook, things may happen for us soon. I was so stressed out prior to starting the fertility route that I think that has played a part in us not conceiving. I'm therefore planning ahead with events, drinking and eating what I want when I want and just trying to keep happy and do nice things whenever possible

Hey ladies,

Hope everyone is well. I'm going to rejoin this thread if that's okay. I currently have a 9 month old girl (can't believe how quick it's gone) and we are looking to start trying again when she is one in May. I'm still on the pill so planning to come off it when this pack runs out to get my cycles back in check! I'll not add myself to the lists just yet but will be lurking.

It took us 4 months to conceive last time round, which we were so lucky and grateful for, so hoping this time round it's similar but you never know.

Anyway enough of my rambling and hope the rest of you aren't here long enough for me to get to know you!

We're not ttc just yet but it's on the cards for soonish (might be another year yet though

) . Is there anything I should be doing before starting ttc? How long before we plan to start ttc do you think I should come off the pill (progesterone only)?

Selemant taking folic acid is a good start, and I see you're trying to lose weight which is great - you basically want to be as healthy as you can :-) as for the pill, some women fall pregnant straight away but others (like me) can take months to get their cycles into any sort of routine. If I was to go back to the beginning I would have come off the pill at least 3 months before I actually wanted to properly TTC - Maybe even 6. But obviously use other contraception in the meantime.

I'm sure others will have more tips :-)
