Wow, you guys are amazing at this decluttering. I've not done much recently apart from decluttering the privet - its was going mad.:rotfl:
51. A pile of privet
52. A fish tank emptied as the last fish passed on yesterday.
A few minutes on this thread and watching hoarders seems to have given me a push. A quick vacuum then I push on.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

1462 Conditioner bottle - hopefully our last . .
(Community picking-up for this year now totals 29 carrier bags, 3 binbags and around a dozen glass bottles hoiked out of ditches (bleurgh ). Maybe I would have been better weighing these collections a la Basketcase )
Goodness - haven't posted since 12th May.
1463 - 1478, 16 fairly large plant pots and saucers to neighbour for village project
1479 Bottle of toner, uu and recycled
1480 Body spray, uu and glass recycling
1481 Primer tube
1482 Can of deodorant, uu and recycled
1483 Setting spray, uu
These last have all been from my DD who managed to keep going even though I stalled and stuck here for a couple of weeks while trying to complete an OU assignment. It's done, dusted and away so I can lift my eyes to the house again (oh dear !). Right, back to it.....
1484 to 1489 Dud batteries, recycled
1490 Hot chocolate tub, uu and recycled
1491 - 1492 Hairbrush and comb, both broken, bin
1493 1 rubber glove, holed - bin
1494 1 birthday card, posted from stash
1495 a set of old keys - bin
(Got stuck here again for a couple of days ... and so close to a milestone. Aarrgh. )
1496 to 1498 2 sets of keys posted to family member, plus a padded envelope from stash
1499 half a bag of ood cereal out to birds
1500 Optrex bottle recycled. (:j Yay)
1501 to 1503 3 eggboxes returned for re-use
1504 to 1506 Cleared some ppw - 3 handfuls
1507 Bulldog clip returned to work.
(Community tidy-up - outside stuff now stands at 3 large refuse sacks and 35 carrier bags, all full of rubbish, and 16 glass bottles recovered - washed and recycled).
I'm slowly getting back into the swing of it.
You are all doing so well. I agree with Villagelife and Mrs SD a change in habits will make all the difference, and I'll adopt those rules too
Basketcase - You are amazingly positive and I am so pleased to hear that your daughter seems to have turned a corner and is now recovering. Best wishes.
Parsniphead - I've been browsing stories of hoarders as well to give me a bit of a push.
Good luck to everyone, fantastic work being done by all.
(ETA - feel that I need to confess that while in our wonderful local independent bookshop for a present to go with the b'day card at 1494 above, I couldn't resist another book for myself. Seriously, shouldn't be allowed out alone. )0 -
1. IF I NOTICE SOME SMALL TASK NEEDS DOING - I WILL DO IT IMMEDIATELY
2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I WENT IN - WITHOUT HIDING THE CLUTTER EXCEPT for the wardrobe room which is currently the storage room (sr)
basketcase, 75% (haven’t worked out how to type fractions on my iPad ) target reached :j:beer::T What an amazing result - all down to your hard work  I hope the Le Creuset is wearing a helmet :rotfl: :T thanks for the encouragement :T
parsniphead, the decluttering bandwagon seems to be building up steam. Now you have your ‘decluttering mojo’ you can plough on because every item decluttered is a weight off your shoulders and mind and now you can sit in the garden without the privet ‘taunting’ you :rotfl:
Sorry about the fish
What a difference a gloriously sunny & hot day & just having the two of us in the house, can make to a cba mood :rotfl:
Woke up at 8:00 this morning & stayed up to make sure DSis got off on time to meet her bff I know, I know :rotfl: She had a bath & I was so ‘desperate’ that she not be late I made her tea & toast & waved her goodbye at 10:15 :rotfl:
Then I just got on with it :j
:rotfl: Radical approach - I emptied the remaining 2.5 cupboards - not a single inch of visible worktop It is amazing what you can find :rotfl: Luckily no duplicates of anything - just ‘aspirational’ baking stuff that I thought I would get back to when I retired (7 years ago :rotfl: ) + all the ‘specialist’ wipes that I bought from the ‘second chance’ door to door salesman This set me off at a tangent (might have to add no.3 FOCUS a la Slob Lady :rotfl: ) - I wiped down all the stainless steel items, then used screen wipes for the TV & my iPad & finally glass wipes for the oven doors :rotfl: Then back on task - Cleaned all three cupboards and then cast a very critical eye over ‘the stuff’. Loads of stuff relocated to more useful spaces & now only 8 individual items to either locate to an appropriate space or donate
So
B805 - B807 Pot of dried out wood filler, pot of dried out Ast*nish cleaner & 12” piece of garden string - Binned
Donations to cs
B808 - B826 Camping plate, mug & cutlery set with mini can opener, 12” Square cakeboard, 10” Square cakeboard, 10” round cakeboard, 5” round cakeboard, 6 individual loose bottomed tart tins, 10” Square cake tin, 2 x 8” pie tins (holey bottoms) & 2 x metal coffee filters (no coffee machines :rotfl: )
I must admit to several sessions of sunbathing & drinking tea/coffee in between cleaning & decluttering :rotfl:
DH has mowed both lawns & relocated the compost from a large terracotta plant pot (the plant had died), as well as filling the bird & squirrel feeders & the water bowls + drilling holes in the tree stump that we are trying to get rid of, so
B827 - B829 Compost used, 2 large bags of garden waste put out ready for collection tomorrow
This cleaning & decluttering is addictive:rotfl: as I have just used the stainless steel wipes to clean the sinks & draining board :rotfl:
Another mini sunbathing session whilst I drink my coffee, then a quick trip to MrA for salad stuff.
I will love you & leave you & ‘see’ you tomorrow

Lots of lots of decluttering happening on our great thread I see. So well done everyone
Mrs SD thank you so much for finding my long lost total for me and also then going on the hunt for the bits and bobs totals of items I had decluttered and posted on here since losing my total:T. I just knew you wouldn't need much of an excuse for another drink and sit down whilst looking back to find them for me :rotfl:
Basketcase so glad your DD is making progress now and feeling much better. I do like feel good posts on here
Uncluttered_Unicorn very well done on all the community picking up. You should be proud of all that you have collected so far.
Parshiphead you have just reminded me that we have a privet too and that certainly needs sorting out big time.
A few bits mainly from outside for us this time but its still decluttering the place and it has started to look much tidier now :j
4 Round plant pots Plastic REC
4 Square plant pots Plastic REC
1 Little wicker basket STOVE
1 Pair of gloves with holes in BIN
1 Piece of pipe BIN
1 Wooden Bristle broom STOVE
5 Big flower pots Plastic REC
1 Mucky worn out sponge BIN
1 Shampoo UU Hoorah that's another one
1 Reed defuser UU
1 Hand cream UU Hoorah that another one
1 Fragrance oil UU
2 Coffee sachets UU These and more are hubbies and I keep reminding him so getting these used up is hard going :rotfl:
This is my 3rd attempt at getting this post on here. Twice now I have lost the lot when I had almost finished it. When that happens I find it so frustrating I never retype it again straight way because it winds me up having spent time doing it in the first place then loosing the whole thing. Fingers and toes crossed I don't loose this before I get to post it today:D.

Hi all!
Just a quick note while the painkillers kick in and I!!!8217;m off to bed. Don!!!8217;t know what I did yesterday, but the wrist I broke is aching like mad. Likewise my back. So I!!!8217;ve taken it fairly easy, which means not much on the declutter front. Or any other front for that matter!
A confession. Erm... I didn!!!8217;t hit my ¾ target yesterday - it was my 2/3rd target! (Chosen because I started a third of the year in).
How embarrassing... :o The figures are right, but the fraction!!!8217;s wrong. Apologies. (Still stunned I got there, though!)
Today I have:
· Fallen out of bed at 6.30
· S&Sed kitchen and bathroom + sweeping and mopping both floors, changing and washing the mats near the bath and the kitchen sink and changing and washing the towels. I also changed the disgusting mop heads on an ordinary and a squeegee mop, replacing them with those !!!8216;waiting!!!8217; to be put on.
· Done a fair-sized shop.
· Folded bedding and put it away
· Dusted, but didn!!!8217;t hoover.
I!!!8217;ve got a few bits and pieces out of the house as a result of going through a bag of !!!8216;stuff to sort!!!8217;, chucked some general household stuff encountered on my travels and vacuum packed some of the 1980s clothes that I left to make sure they were bone dry. There are some things that haven!!!8217;t left the house, so I!!!8217;ll count those when they go.
Today!!!8217;s miserable tally is:
Book to bookshelf, 0.25lb
General rubbish (binned), 0.25lb
Normal mopheads, 1lb
Squeegee mopheads (+ children's paintbrushes for fiddly jobs - like decrumbing the toaster!), 0.75lb
My clothing, 2.5lbs
Recycling, 2.75lbs
Totals
Day!!!8217;s Total 7.5lbs
Running total 1361.25lbs
[FONT="]Well done on the decluttering all. Keep up the good work!

Ha, just lost a post, because I was trying to refer back to so many entries. I'm amazed at how well you are all doing, especially you, Basketcase, carrying on with your broken wrist and bad back.
I've been trying to weed out things which aren't fit for donation, but still more or less functional, using the technique of pretending I'm moving soon. This ranges from chipped mugs or other crockery, to books which are disintegrating. They won't be counted in my bags total, as they should just be in the normal rubbish.0 -

This is why I daren't risk losing the momentum. Again... Feel fine this morning so off to hop, skip, jump (Heaven knows I need the exercise! :j:D) and, hopefully, NOT trip! :rotfl:

Back later with totals. Doubt they'll be high. It's more of a consolidation day. But you never know...:D Off to the cinema tonight to see Solo, which should be fun.
Happy decluttering, all!
