I would have thought cash would be king on the island never been though, so really not sure atm. Half of me thinks that we should just change it all here and be done with it.
Haven't been to Ibiza, but I'm in Mallorca right now. Pretty much everywhere takes cards these days (except for a fish restaurant we went to yesterday in a fairly remote part of the island where they claim they have no signal - although strangely enough our mobile phones worked well enough). That's not a problem though as there are loads of cash machines around.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
Update on this - I can confirm that I used my card twice to withdraw €70 each time from a Santander ATM in Mallorca and there are no charges - each time the daily rate was levied and it was about £61.21 each time.
Watch out for the DCC option - always choose euros. Santander trying to skin their own customers !!
So Santander define the ballearic islands as mainland Spain as far as atm withdrawals go.0
