Well it's 12 months today for me! How will I know if I'm discharged? Will I just get a letter in a few days/weeks to tell me?

I was kind of hoping for a fanfare etc! It's been a long year! ha ha!
Hope everyone has managed a difficult year!x

Hi Nikki, here is to your fresh start as well

If you type your name in here http://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/eiir/IIRMasterPage.asp you will find your entry on the IS website, if you click on your surname you will get more details and see that you have been discharged :). Print off a few pages because the entry disappears in 3 months.

I'm really quite looking forward to it! I made an appointment 2 weeks ago and will be seeing my local Barclays manager on Friday with my print out from the IS website in hand!! I'm also looking forward to being able to open an account for the teenager - I've already asked and they said it was fine after tomorrow. :)
I have learned to live without internet banking but it is still a real inconvenience not having it especially for paying school for trips etc - One great thing that's come out of BR is discovering the joys of credit unions and I wont be giving my CU account up any time soon - in fact if I ever win the lottery they are one of the 1st good causes I would fund :D

I can't believe it's been nearly 3 months since I was discharged, I can't wait to drop of the insolvency register in a couple of weeks :j

Next step operation clean up file, none of my old creditors have marked my account as settled automatically, looks like I have lots of letters to post!

Hi all, long time no speak.

I always said I would come back to this post when my 6 years was up so here I am.

Having a late night tonight so I can watch my old defaults fall off my files after midnight. Only one will remain but that will be gone by the start of July. That one is my fault for not chasing up the creditor when I asked for the dates to be corrected.

So if any of the June 2013 are still about then here's to the future!

P.S We bought a house last September with Skipton while bankruptcy was still on file so there is hope for you all.

    Cheers.
