TSB 2nd classic plus account

Hi all,

Several years ago I opened 2 TSB classic plus current accounts in order to be able to take advantage of the 2 * £2000 pounds at 5% interest, I see this is now down to £1500 per account but my question is, do I need to convert one of these to a joint account so that they both get the 5% interest or will I get the 5% on both without doing this since I opened the account prior to one of the accounts needing to be a joint account?

TIA

    2 individual, 1 joint & husband has individual. 5% on all 4.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

That's the beauty of a PUBLIC FORUM, people can ask or answer whatever they like pretty much, without a self elected board monitor telling them not to!

At the time of T&Cs changing, TSB notified multiple a/c holders that their 2nd a/c's may be closed to the interest, they didn't follow through & I don't for 1 minute think they 'forgot', so NO-ONE is letting any sort of secret out of the bag.

    I agree. :p:rotfl: :rotfl:

You should be more concerned about TSB noticing they're compensating someone with TWO Classic Plus accounts to the tune of £150 for inconvenience following the IT fiasco, & many more with multiple accounts no doubt.

More obvious than them 'noticing' this thread, not that they need to according to my friend who works for TSB, surprise surprise, TSB are well aware & always have been.

How can I check the terms of my accounts? I opened in 2014 when two sole were allowed. Will I receive interest on both if I transfer 500 between the two each month?
