Hi all,
JCS1 - love the fishes - very quick stitching!
I managed some stitching last week and also frogged some of the sand background which was wrong. Must try to stitch this week as the end of June is looming eeek!
DH and I went to Rome on Thursday and got back last night. the tapestries in the Sistine Chapel were amazing - so detailed and so old! Have spent most of today doing laundry and also visited the in laws who moved house on Wednesday. Back to work tomorrow but at least a short week
Hope everyone is going well,

Coxy, your trip to Rome sounds wonderful, one day I might get a holiday :rotfl: I've also not done much stitching, managed a little bit over the last couple of days. I finished my first sewing project, turning some worn out old jeans into a bag. Its the perfect size for taking my crochet to K&N

Hiya gang!
So sorry, no time to post over the past week. Now that DH and I are no longer volunteering we have been binge watching the TV that we never got around to seeing. Can't stitch and watch Line of Duty as every facial expression leaves you wondering who is the goodie and the baddie lol!
Great update nmm! I have been asked to knit a raven and a dove for a friend's Noah's Ark display. Not needed until Christmas but trying not to start before finishing Collecting Shells
Out tomorrow night for a friend's birthday and fat club on Thursday so likely won't be stitching again until Friday/the weekend.
Hope everyone is going well,

Wow JCS1 they look amazing. Can't decide which is my favourite as they are all so good. Lovely the colours on the lady with the birdcage but the little girl with kittens is stunning. Loving the stitchalong piece too, fantastic work.
Just about to pick up Collecting Shells having been on a walk for an hour after dinner. DH out tonight so went on my own but felt good!

The girl with the kittens reminded me of me 35 or so years ago.....
Hope everyone has a good weekend x0 -
Morning! Yes JCS1 I see what you mean - aaaaahhh!
Well I think I've finished the sand (finally) and worked some of the sea last night whilst watching (listening) to Ru Paul's Drag Race and Queer Eye (DD in charge of the remote!). I have to say the end of June is looking unlikely for a finish as we are due to visit universities most weekends in June with said DD. We've so far signed up for 5(!). Never mind - it's been WIP since January 2016 so a little longer won't hurt.
The usual housework and food shopping planned for today but I hope to pick up my sewing again this evening.
Wishing you all a great weekend.

Can see the end in sight now but as I mentioned before, I'm doubtful this will be by the end of June eeek! I'm looking to start a Christmas design next as have several in my stash. Have been to get my eyebrows threaded and dyed today as they were going a bit grey - now I look a bit like Burt/Ernie Oops!
