gosh , that is frightening , wonder if the government is taking steps to rectify this MSE Callum ?0

Well, we covered in January that the Government was having a 'crackdown' by introducing a new code for parking firms, but as we explained at the time, companies which don't sign up to the code of practice WILL still be able to issue tickets. These companies will not be able to access DVLA data to chase non-payers. But it's only firms that are members of parking bodies, which already have codes of conduct, that are able to access DVLA data anyway, so it's unclear what the crackdown will do.Read the latest MSE News

this has already had its second reading in the house of lords ,
code of practice? ahh , you mean being a member of an ATA to get info from the DVLA ,
PS , neither the BPA or micky mouse club give 2 hoots about code of practice0 -
They can hand as many out as they like.. I still wont pay any0

This is not new to the regulars here.
I do hope that MSE finally do something about their dreadful advice on the "Official" MSE motoring forum.
The regulars here have complained may times that it has incorrect and inaccurate information and has a template appeal letter that gives away the driver's identity.
Anyone who actually knows anything about fighting unfair private parking charges should not be giving such abysmal advice as it will cost motorists money.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -

Me either, unfortunately there will still be "the Masses" of lesser understanding individuals that will pay them and that is sad very sad.
Now that I'm involved with my own PCN I tell everybody about using this Forum and how we must fight the PPC,s all the way.
Lets hope more people in this country get on board and make the PCN a Dodo (Extinct)0 -

I think your sarky button is turned off as MSE Callum seems to think you are being serious.
I wonder if anyone from MSE towers ever actually reads the posts here and realise how much the regulars know about this subject.
MSE Callum doesn't appear to have read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES that asks ALL posters to read it before they start a new thread.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -

I believe some of the people giving advice on the forums work for the Parking companies themselves...0 -
MSE Callum ... not sure if you fully understand this.
Yes the 2 ATA's do have their own code of practice
which are abused.
The government will have it's own code of practice
which will override the codes which we hope will
be a law apposed to the unregulated situation at present0 -

Which ones? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
