Nothing in my recycling has my name / address and bank details on.
  • Was it not Tesco who had a data breach within the last 2 years?

I would bet money that if you put that into a CD player it would play someone reading out a letter to you.

Until you do that (or disable Autoplay on your computer and put it in that) we're all none the wiser.

I've sent it to a relative who is an IT techie - he's going to open it in an emulated / blank laptop. I'll report back once I know.

I'm sure there's no horseplay involved in this CD

No follow up? What was the outcome? A spoken (audio) letter or some scam?

I'm very interested to know too. I don't know how you could have waited without checking. I would have had to check on the day it arrived...

My postie brought me a padded envelope with my details handwritten though in a strange format.

No update to this? - Is it as many of us thought? - An audio CD of a letter from Tesco Bank ?

Yep, a damp squib! It has turned out to be an audio recording after all. Still, not something I ordered / asked for so I need to go back to the bank to track that down.

So, nothing sinister after all, just weird!
