I've disposed of my recent letters from Tesco, but if it did happen to be an Audio recording, perhaps the numbers would relate to a reference number of the letter concerned.

If it's CD, it may be formatted to be playable from an CD player, worth giving a go, if only to rule out that it may not be.

Can the sender be traced by the code on it?

The 'HQ' number will be unique to a particular business, so in theory yes you could. How easy it would be to find out who the number belongs to may be a completely different matter.

Well I’d be stumped if I received one, I don’t own a pc or laptop.
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

What about a Google search for the HQ number?

Is it possibly a letter provided in audio format?

That’s my guess too. It’s probably a letter in an ‘alternative’ format that’s been sent to the wrong account. Far more likely than something sinister.

Here's a photo of the CD and the envelope, it's got a Royal Mail postage sticker on. Can the sender be traced by the code on it?

    ]Tesco_CD.jpg

Assuming it's genuine, the code looks like a reference or customer number as a bank account number would have 8 digits.

A standalone DVD or BluRay player will play audio Cds with no issue.
