That just makes it smell even worse. Proof of the pudding would be to call or email ACS Law, and ask them whether they even have a Terence Tsang on their books, and if the payment procedure outlined is standard for them.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

Do you notice their web site looks a bit crap for a solicitors. Their address shows up as "serviced" offices which sounds a bit temporary to me. Any else think that doesn't quite sound right?0

Apparently solicitors have to be registered with the law society and their database is searchable. You can do the search here:

I already had a look and there is no record of a Terence Tsang.
Companies house is showing ACS Law as being disolved:

Its almost certainly a scam.0 -

Looks like it's not a scam. I'd get preparing for some troubles ahead about now..0 -
Not much difference between this and private firms asking people to pay £200+ 'fines' for parking on private land. As much chance of winning compensation as Man city have of winning the league.0

ACS Law as found on the Law Society 'Find a Solicitor' search function.Companies house is showing ACS Law as being disolved:

I wouldn't be overly confident that it is a scam.Although quite how they intend to follow up their threats if they no longer exist, as thescouselander rightly points out. Their page from companies house here
That's on the assumption that ACS Law has been set up as either a Ltd or LLP comany. They could quite easily have been established as a partnership, in which case they do not need to register themselves with Companies House.0 -
The fact that they were a limited company until March this year, and no sign of this Terence Tsang character, who is supposedly making the claim. Does look a little off colour.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0
