Vodafone Upgrade and K750i - Best offers
Options
What is the best offers people have been given by Vodafone to get a K750i upgrade?
I am currently at the end of a 12 months contract and I contacted Vodafone about cancelling 2 SIM cards I have with them. They asked me why I wanted to leave and I mentioned I had seen some good deals on K750i else where.
They then offered me the following for each sim card:
£18 per months - 30 mins calls + 50 text + £30 for upgrade.
They claimed this is the best possible offer they could come up with, but I have a feeling it is possible to get a better offer from them.
I have requested my PAC codes in the hope that I get a phone call from them in a couple of days time to make me another offer!

Hi, first post here...
I rang Vodafone yesterday. My contract expires in the middle of August but I really want a K750i so I thought I'd ring them and say that I'd found a good deal elsewhere and see what they'd say.
They said that I could upgrade on the 19th June (60 days before my contract expires). I quoted the following deal from O2 and they said that they could offer me a better deal when I get in touch with them again on the 19th.
It remains to be seen whether this will be the case, but if they don't then I'll go to O2. I'd rather stay with Vodafone though as it will mean less hassle.
The deal:
K750i free
6 months half price rental £15 (normally £30)
400 cross-net minutes for 3 months then 200
100 texts for 3 months then 500 -
I didn't have to wait long. I received the expected phone call from Vodafone this afternoon.
They offered me the following:
Free K750i
12 months @ 14.99
100 mins per month
50 txt per month
Free bluetooth headset
Just under £180 for the year. If I sell the bluetooth headsets (as I already have some) then I should get this down to £160.
I pushed a bit harder, but the guy wouldn't offer any more.
I decided it was pretty good so went for it. The phones will arrive on Monday!0 -

I've spoken to two guys at disconnections now, got the better deal from the second one:
K750i on Antytime 75 + 50 texts + 3 months free insurance
18 month contract @ 20 per month
K750i 17 quid
I wanted a bit more than that, so I requested my PAC code - straight away he said what could he do for me to stay. He offered up the phone for free, I asked for a bluetooth headset and a 12 not 18 month contract as well. He spoke to his manager. Nothing doing on the contract or headset - in fact they said that they don't deal with accessories. They're sending me my PAC codes - lets see if I get a call. Currently I'm someway of the deal that you got - they appear to be unlikely to budge, any tips?

The best tip is wait for Vodafone to ring you.
If you ring Vodafone and ask for a deal you won't get much. If they ring you, then you will get a customer service rep ring you who has the authority to offer a better deal.
If you have requested PAC codes, then you will get a call in the next few days.
Good luck!
Edit: Forgot to mention, went into local Vodafone shop yesterday to see what offers they have. They actually have some good offers. You can check them out online:
Vodafone Shop
They have Anytime 75 +100 text for £16 per month (phone £20). You also get 6 months 1/2 line rental. This is a 18month contract.
The guy I spoke to in the Vodafone shop suggested going for a 18 month contract on Anytime 200+250texts for £25 per month with half price line rental for 6 months (£12.50). The phone would be free, and after 6 months you can change to any tariff. (lowest tariff is £15 per month I think.)
So in summary, it looks like the new deals they are offering are alot better that the deals they are offering for upgrades or to keep customers.
I might try and ring Vodafone on Monday and ask for a better deal as the deal they offered me on Friday is not as good as I first thought it was. I am not sure what chance I will have now as my new phones will hopefully arrive monday some time!0 -

You should have quoted the 6 months @ £2.99 and 6 months @ £15 deal from OSPS on Vodafone ;-)0 -

I did try!
Vodafone said they would not match a "cashback deal".
He then went on to say the largest number of complaints Vodafone get is when cashback deals go wrong, but at the end of the day the cashback deal has nothing to do with Vodafone as it is an extra agreement between you and the retailer who sold the phone.
He also claimed that the deals that OSPS are currently doing are impossible as they could not possibly make a profit from them...0 -

I must say that both guys that I spoke to went in for a bit of dialaphone/OSPS bashing.

This is my first posting on here.
Inspired by you all 2 days ago I phoned Vodafone to ask for my PAC codes. I am currently paying £15 for 100 x-net minutes and 50 texts. They phoned me today and asked what they could do to get me to stay, and offered the same contract for £4.99 a month. I then asked about getting a 750i, and was offered the same deal plus the phone for £10 a month - £5 less then I am paying now. The phone is coming tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration0 -

Cracking deal mate, I've not even had a call back yet after asking for my PAC code.
