Credit card getting rejected on-line

I hope that someone can help me.
I am having a problem with my credit card (Mastercard). A few weeks ago, the details were somehow stolen and some fraudulent activity took place. This was picked up by the card supplier and I was notified. Fraudulent activity was cancelled and the card cancelled and a new card issued.
This all went pretty smoothly and the new card is working for in-person transactions (both contactless and chip/pin). But unfortunately, it is getting rejected for on-line transactions.
I have contacted the card issuer and they cannot see any reason for the rejections and they don’t see the transactions (ie the card issuer is not rejecting the transaction).
So, it looks like I am on some sort of blacklist. And by coincidence or not I am now having similar problems with my second, completely separate, credit card. That is also getting rejected on-line (although I have been successful with one transaction for that card).
Does anyone have any experience of this? How can I get it sorted out?

Is there any app based authentication or similar 2FA?

It never gets as far as the Authentication / 2FA stage. That is fired off by the credit card company and they tell me that it never gets to them. There must be an initial check before the request to the credit card provider. And I think it's there that my card is getting rejected.
But I don't know. I am hoping someone on here has some insight into how these things work.0 -
Card details are not being pre-populated with old ones are they? Or retailers that still have old card details stored & not updated.
Which retailers are the issue. As not aware of any black lists as retailers would have no idea of fraud on previous card.Life in the slow lane0 -
No definitely not old retained info. In fact on a couple of sites I have changed the details from the old to the new card and it actually works OK.1

Will be a link issue from retailers to bank, if bank is not seeing request then.Life in the slow lane0

But what sort of link issue. It's not just one retailer is all of them. So there must be some sort of common gateway that they use.
I'm at a loss to know what to do to sort it out.0 -
The link is the communication between retailer & bank. If bank can't see the transaction, then it is between retailer & bank.
Even if you tried the old stopped card, it would still get to the bank to be rejected.
So just which retailers? Given you have said it has worked on a couple of sites.

Actually, with the M&S card it has never worked on-line - transaction fails every time.
I have another card which has also started failing in the same way, but that has succeeded only once or twice.0 -
By any chance do you have a Apple computer & use safari?Life in the slow lane0

Complain and suggest compensation would be fair and appropriate0
