Daughter Requires NEw P&G Phone - Ideas?

Our daughter wants to buy a new P&G handset. It must have a damn good camera and be "cool". She's swaying towards Orange because of the £10 a month top up gets x No. texts and free evening calls.
She's got upto about £140 of her own hard earned money to spend.
I've advised her to hold out til early December as there might be better deals then.
And tips on which phone (e.g. Not the V3 razor as the cameras "rubbish") to get and where from - ideally on the High Street but not a dedfinite requirement. Oh and she hates Vodaphone, T-Mobile and 3 due to past experience.
Many thanks.

Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Don't you mean D500, if the D600 was around £140 I'd bag myself one right now! Check out www.virginmobile.com/lifestyle rewards Nokia 6020 is £89.99 and 6101 is £119.99 both come with £25 airtime and sim pack which can fetch around £15 upwards on eBay, not sure about 6020 but 6101 is not too bad.
6230i is quite good and sells for £149.99 on Amazon and Comet. Amazon also sell the 6101 for £89.99 with £5 T-mobile sim card. Nokia's can be easily unlocked to allow any sim cards. HTH, let me know if you have any more questions/queries.2p off is still 2p off!0 -

I think you mean the D500 for around that price on payg.
I recommend the E530.0 -
Just spotted this post http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=117554 it's basically a Nokia 6230i on O2 from The Link with a free blutooth headset, they also knock off £10 for trade in which isn't brilliant unless the phone is absolutely worthless, the headset is supposed to be worth £29.99, maybe fetch a £10 for it on eBay if you don't want it.
The OP on that thread says they're giving 10% off all PAYG phones bought online over £99.99 but doesn't seem to knock it off??? Might find some codes in the vouchers board.2p off is still 2p off!0 -
Yup sorry I meant the D500.

basically the main high street shops are the link (part of dixons) phones4u, carphone warehouse, tmobile o2 orange and vodafone. you can also get virgin phones in their music stores or in whsmith, then there are the lesser ones such as comet currys argos etc. the o2 student site is having some great bargains at the mo, some phones much much cheaper than in any other shop (some are recon) there is a thread about this on here somewhere. as far as fashion phones go with decent cameras, most people tend to go for the samsungs (e720 d500 both have megapixel cameras and these are both at the top end of your daughters budget, e720 comes on the o2 site reduced periodically). if you simply want to buy from high street all the major retailers do magazines with their handsets in which you can get free from their shops. id advise her to go to town one day, get as many as she can and sit down and compare, the same online. for me, virgin is the cheapest tariff and i have now amassed £60 off a new phone using their reward system (basically the more you top up using debit card the more they give you back). dont go into the first shop and buy what looks like a great phone, in my experience comparisons can lead to large reductions in the price you would have originally paid. (im on my 15th phone since 1998, all bargains and top models, not counting the breeze block nokia which was my first phone lol!) hope thats been of some help, l.Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. I've had my fun, and that's all that matters.0
