I recieved a letter some while ago in June but forgot to ask then as to why Nat West are asking by letter for a copy of my present signature? I didn't fill it in, I don't understand why if they really wanted it that they shouldn't just ask me to pop into the nearest Nat West Bank to leave it there. They enclosed a pe-paid envelope on which the address isn't the same as the one on the letter but I just don't feel comfortable sending off my signature by post when I can quite easy do it at the Bank, seems strange to me and no other bank has ever asked me to do it so why just them? They didn't ask again either when I didn't send it off and I havent been asked at the bank when I've been there either
Thanx

Does the letter not say why they wan't your signature?
Best thing to do would be to pop into a branch with it and ask them why they sent you the request.0 -
It just says they are reviewing customers records. Yes I will do that, I still have the letter but I've forgot everytime I've been to the bank to take it. I just wondered if anyone else had had the same requestThanx

Check in your branch to see if its valid. Dont send it off until you no its right.
Sometimes banks will spot that when you sign it does not match well with your signature on file. Throught age or signature on record, or as it changes over time with some people. They can therefore ask for a new record of it. If this is the case will be able to check at your branch.Views expressd are just that, views and opinion, they are not financial advice, as that requires much detail and work and everyone is different. Advice should be taken, in my opinion, from a professional financial advisor. PS. Good luck.0 -

All sounds a bit strange to me.
You could always ring them up and ask. They should be able to tell if they have ever issued such a request to you.
Don't ring any number shown on the letter though. Get a proper number for the bank off of their website.0
