Hand in notice or PVR?

Just to clarify if you are in the RAF:
18mths notice cannot be turned down. You cannot then ask to leave early because of a job offer.
PVR is a determined length of time (see the Personnel bulletin on the Manning website - normally 12mths or 6mths for a few. Once you have a date you can ask to leave earlier again if you have confirmed job offer. Your section also need you to permit you to early. If there is not enough time to give you all of your leave (annual, resttlement and terminal) you will forfeit them and cannot be paid this.
When everyone talks about how much time you have served, they mean about the 'reckonable service'. Up until recently, the time anyone serves before the age of 18 does not count and if you are in Colchester and unpaid leave - parental leave and AML (additional maternity leave).
PSF (Admin offices) should advise you accordingly.
Thanks for that info. I take it from what you say, a pvr can be turned down then? Is it also possible to be posted/DWR'd etc after you have pvr'd/put in notice? (worried about getting all my leave/resetlement entitlement in).
Thanks0
