pay as you go?
I have two contracts with O2, the free minutes per month combined are 200, the free texts are 200 the total combined cost is aprox. £40. We use (wife & I) no more than 80 minutes (40 & 40) less than ten text messages between us. I am fairly sure that it is time to switch to pay as you go but would welcome advice and (sensible please) comments. We have camera phones and an abundance of old phones and are not bothered about the new "trendy" phones.

I use Orange PAYG- I usually only spend about £5 a month anyway, which is far cheaper than most contracts, as I don't use my phone all that often, just a few brief phone calls or texts a week on average.
I'm with Orange rather than another provider mainly for the Orange wednesdays cinema deal as I go to the cinema rather a lot, but if it's not something you'd be interested in then it's best just going for the provider most of your friends and family whom you call most often are already with for the sake of getting cheaper calls.Owing to financial constraints, the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off until further notice.
