i have the tesco credit card i think he 13 months 0% is good.
but how do the points work when are they rewarded??
i have a card balance of just over £300 but only 186 points
do they reward you when you spend or make payments against the card balance
do they add them ad the end of a month or something, i can not work it out
  • I can never understand how people would not find something on Tesco deals to spend their points on.

There is just so much choice.

    Blockbuster films.

    Hotel rooms

    Days out

    RAC cover

    Magazine subscriptions

    Meals vouchers

    Days out

All these I have used over the last few years and while I admit that Tesco isnt always the cheapest place to shop.......it has enabled this family to have a few treats that we wouldn't normally have.

The above is only a small selection of the deals available. Surely there must be something for everyone?
    Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £60

Not that much, and (apart from the RAC membership I mentioned previously) none of them I'd use. And the prices listed on the clubcard site are misleading.

    To take the RAC membership:

Tesco 'normal price' for roadside: £57 (£14.25 in clubcard points)
    RAC's own site: £33

So, yes - you're getting roughly a 43% reduction, but nowhere near the 75% reduction you should be getting.
    Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries

Like someone else mentioned, I think it's entirely dependant on whether any of the deals appeal to you or are useful to you.

I use the Tesco classic card for everything, pay it all off by DD at the end of the month and get around £900 a year in deal vouchers back for very little effort. This pays for a holiday each year and a few days out to Legoland (which is HIDEOUSLY expensive otherwise) and the zoo. For me it's moneysaving!! Probably not worth a great deal if you're paying whopping interest though, think their rate is around the 15% mark so would negate any savings.

My real point is that you are not that better off using your Tesco credit card as you are with your clubcard. You can still get the 4x using just your clubcard.
£100 of shopping in store using clubcard= £1 or 100 points
£100 of shopping in store using Tesco credit card = £1.25 or 125 points.
    or
    £100 of shopping using clubcard= £1 + paying bill with egg card = another £1= £2 total.

Tesco clubcard anyware else is 1 point for every £4 spent = .25p aginst 1p from other cards.

But you can still get your clubcard deals by just using your ordinary clubcard.

Unless you've got the old card and use it to buy deals................

£100 of shopping in store using Tesco credit card = £1.50 or 150 points = (average) £5.85 worth of deals.

Much better than your Clubcard + Egg option - but only on any use if you want the deals and have the old card!
