tesco credit card

The tesco credit card does not seem all that good to me or is it.
If i buy £100 of shopping in store and use my ordinary club card I get 100 point = £1. If I use my Tesco credit card on £100 of shopping i get 5 points for every £4 spent so it would be worth £ £1.25.

If I just for me club card for the 100 points and than a 1% cashback credit card I would get £1 cash back. +£2 in total.

I know you can get clubcard deals but if you any get 25p more by using your credit card its not worth it.

As for shopping elseware tesco give you 1 point for every £4 spent, thats 1/4p , that not very much is it.

And if you don't fancy traveling across country for there deals days out , it doesn't seem worth it.

I see your point now. I think the reason is that a lot of people aren't eligible for cashback credit cards, as you have to have quite a good credit history to get one. But, if you can get yourself a cashback card, then go for it!

I have one of the older cards so get twice as many Clubcard points making it equivalent to a 2% cashback card.

I just ditched mine. Mine was like King Of Fools, the old one, but switched it for an actual cashback card instead as my Tesco use was becoming less and less. After years of holding out that I didn't like Aldi and such, I've realised that they are pretty good for most stuff, and there's always Tesco for the extra bits you can't get in the cheaper shops

I have had mine for about 6 months, but i don't think I,m much better of than if I used my ordinary clubcard. I am going to ditch it and go for a 1 % cashback card.

Bear in mind that Clubcard points can be worth 4x for some things, so your initial calculation should perhaps count the points as being worth £5 (presuming of course you want anything from that site - the only thing I've ever bought off there is RAC membership.)

There is nothing on the clubcard deals that appeal to me ( I thought there would be) RAC is dear compared to my CSMA car breakdown. I know 4x sounds good but is only good if you want them things.

I see your point. Its not even as good as 5 points for every £4 you spend as you'd get 1 of those points with a normal clubcard anyway. So even with the clubcard deals the points are only worth 1% of what you spend in tesco and 0.25% in other shops which is terrible!

I thought i was the only one who could see it. Tesco never gives much away.

Rather oddly Tesco refused me for a card but have managed to get two cashback cards!

Use your tesco clubcard with the 5% cashback American Express card and hit those Tesco fiends with a double whammy! :T

I've got the old Tesco credit card so more points to start with. I only ever use the vouchers for deals - it pays for days out (legoland etc) and entry to places for us & the kids when we holiday in the UK. Still the best 'cashback' offer for me!
