No sale at my store :(

Got a James Brown dry shampoo for £1, till spit wouldn't work.

I'm trying to work out the cheapest way to get the Olay GWP (sooo skint, and I thought I'd best start on Christmas!!). Any ideas?!? I have the free wipes voucher?

I also have £5 off a £10 spend and £5 off a £20 spend for No 7, can I use them together? And the 342? So get 2 Dream Lash mascaras, two GWPs, a liplicious gloss, the No 7 GWP for £10.25? (With 400 points for the lip gloss?) Plus a till spit!

There's no great way to get the Olay gwp cheaply. If you've got the points, I'd buy something with points like a serum or eye cream and get it that way. Otherwise, I'd just let this one pass (that's what I'm doing at the moment; I just bought some olay eye cream on ebay and if I like it I may buy it with points later and get the gwp if it's still around).

Otherwise, you could go on eBay and try to buy all the various Olay vouchers, but I have a feeling you'd have to buy them in a few separate transactions and the cost would add up. Or if you really want the gwp badly, you could try to trade some of your No7 vouchers here for Olay vouchers -- not many people will give away Olay as we all love those vouchers, but No7 vouchers are like gold and you may tempt someone to trade! If you got the vouchers for 5 pounds off total effects and 500 and 600 points for it in addition to what you have already, then you'd be looking at a good deal to get the gwp. You'd still spend about 8 or 9 quid out of pocket, but you'd get 11 pounds back on your card.
  • I swear I had those vouchers, but they are not in my Boots purse! How annoying!! x

    Thirded!
Jill and her mum are very much in my thoughts today. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the operation goes to plan. That alone is a huge ordeal for Jill- I just can't begin to imagine what she must be going through with losing Thomas as well *big hugs hun*

Thanks also to Nettienoo for sorting out the donations- very much appreciated, especially as it will take a lot of time dealing with so many cheques and postal orders! You're a star :A

I would tell them u did have bills come out today and now r overdrawn and will b charged by ur bank. Lay it on thick how they have messed up your finances and how going overdrawn ruins credit ratings etc. Mention how ur thinking of not using the service again possibly shopping with boots at all ( as if:rotfl: but there not to no ;) )

HTH, maybe some1 here has experiance with this

I wouldn't recommend lying about being overdrawn. CS does monitor this forum, not to mention if I were them, I'd want proof in the form of a bank statement or something to prove how much you were charged for being overdrawn.

I would tell the truth, which is that it was a great inconvenience to wait around all day for a phone call and that it kept you trapped in the house and unable to take care of errands. If it will be difficult for you to do those errands later in the week, I'd mention that, too, and ask for some kind of compensation for the inconvenience and time lost.

I agree with Skibster, even with the vouchers getting the olay gwp is not cheap, but it is good value. I got some to put aside as a Christmas present! (how organised am I!!)

This is taken from CPG's first post:-

The Olay Hand cream @ £4.97 can be combined with the following vouchers - 600pts pc voucher, free wipes/toner voucher, Save £5 so you can get free handcream, free wipes/toner/cleanser and get 600pts back. Thanks Sarahskint.

That would be £9.46 (I think, barring reductions) towards the £18 for your gwp spend before you actually spend anything, iyswim (I think)

As for the suncare, does the acm voucher specify facial suncare? If it does, I think the cheapest option is this http://www.boots.com/brandtreatment/product_details_brand_treatment.jsp?productid=1082200&classificationid=1031599

Just ordered my fitflop(s) online & saw this on sale, so thought I'd give it a try as well:

L'Oreal PerfectSlim Pro Kit Now £13.73 (Was £54.95)

Used the STRK12 code to get an additional 500 points on top of the 500 extra points you already receive on orders of £50 or more, so quite happy with that effort! :D
