It's the things we don't need that brighten our lives. :rotfl: :rotfl:
I must admit a lot of my buys recently were 'comfort buys' but paid for by points so did not make a hole in my pocket.
We are all bad influences on each other.... but there are more expensive "hobbies" we could have...if only I could find a good system for storing all my goodies (and remembering what I've got!!:rotfl:)0 -
And now I'm wondering whether the extra 500 points when you spend £30 will work in addition to the 1000 points on premium beauty (but don't you have to buy 3 things for that, not two?) at the weekend....aMeLia'S~MuMMY wrote: »Well done Polls for using points..I find it really hard parting with them
. DH has decided he now would like an updated camera, he thinks he's using my points:eek: . You did well on the clarins today..the lure of £38 spend and 1000pts would have been too tempting I would have parted with the cash as opposed to the sensible points option.

Hi Clare,
You should have no problems taking the perfume set back. I returned all of the ones I had bought at 50% off and rebought them at 75% off! SA wasn't delighted (can't really blame her!) but she didn't quibble or query it. (I nearly didn't do this as I *hate* having to take things back, and it was all the more embarrassing as I had bought 7 sets
. Added up the difference though and in total the saving was £55  so plucked up the courage and now very glad I did
. I hate it when the price goes down just after I've bought something )
Which Provocative set did you get Clare? I had a look online and the only one I could find was http://www.boots.com/brandtreatment/product_details_brand_treatment.jsp?productid=1088456&classificationid=1039840
That seems cheaper though at £21
HTH.
Hi, Tiara, thanks for your helpful post. The giftset I bought wasn't the one on line - it had a 30ml perfume, a 15ml perfume (I think - sort of "handbag sized"), a 100 ml body lotion and a rather odd, square cosmetic purse. I decided to be brave and took it back yesterday, and there was no problem with a refund, which I was very relieved about as the store I took it back to didn't have an Elizabeth Arden counter. However, I then saw exactly the same set in Debenhams marked as £18, with no mention of it being reduced, so i don't know where my SA's original price of £40 came from - cunning marketing perhaps.... (naughty!)
Haven't seen any perfume sets left in the two Boots I went to at the weekend, so really well done with your 75% off bargains (definitely worth a few embarrassing moments taking them back, so well done for being brave!), hope you enjoy them. Can I just ask, when you took them back, did that store still have perfume sets reduced, or did you just take them back, the till gave a reduced price when scanned but you had your receipt so got the full refund and then re-bought at the 75% off till price? Hope that makes sense - I know what I'm trying to ask!!.... I have 5 perfume sets, all bought at 50% off, and I hadn't thought of taking them back and rebuying them, as there was no stock left where I looked. Advice gratefully received, TIA!
Blimey, it's absolutely P-ing down here - would have thought that after all the rain we had last night, the sky would have been "empty" now....lol!0 -
Not much Clearance at Sheffield Crystal Peaks, but did find a Time Delay Microdermabrasion refill for 99p, and with 200points from mag.
Also got TS Long hair conditioner with Shine spray (£3.99) and used free cond mag voucher, £2 haircare till spit, 100points TS ACM. So paid £1.99 with 100points.
Tried again but till beeped with Long hair shampoo, so got conditioner again.0 -
Just did the above with some cotton wool buds, no beeps at all!! SAs eyes nearly popped out and she nearly forgot to give me my change
. Very good deal indeed. For some reason also got 40 offer points, not sure what that's all about PLUS another haircare tillspit
.
Unfortunately I took the only 2 pink bags from the shelf, I hope they re-stock soon as I have another voucher to try
.
