  • What about handing it in to your local police station? If no-one claims it you get it back fair and square and then maybe someone will help you with the pin!

  • Believe in Karma, Carla.

Hand it into the Police station cos one day you might lose your phone.

thanks for you're answers, but as i said in post 3, the police have returned it to me, and it has been lying around for a while now, i wouldnt dream of just keeping it, as i too have lost a phone in the past and i know how it feels

#*06# on your keypad will give you the phones emi number, which may allow you to get the phone unlocked.

the phone isn't worth much so it might be worth telling orange you have it and what the emi number is as no doubt they can track the true owner.

you might even get a reward as I would be upset to lose all my numbers etc.

Why not give it to charity for recycling if you can't bring yourself to hand it in at your police station - it may not be "lost" but discarded after a mugging, and could be evidence.
