Orange Replacment Handset Help

Hi,

I used to work for Orange a few years ago, but want to know what they new procedure is for replacement handsets. My gf got a good online deal direct from orange.co.uk with an lg viewty.

5 days into contract not working - issue new one with 14 days - new box etc

Since then she has had three other LG Viewty handset, keep freezing, not able to send texts.

When i was with orange if you got the same fault three times you were able to get a different handset, so i said to her try this, they said no, no, no, ok well do you a good will gesture of a g600 or g800 (samsung's) or another lg viewty.

is there any amount of moaning to get another type of handset?

should be the same process, unless she got a deal with especially came with the viewty she should be able to change to a similar class of phone but CS can be difficult at the best of times!

thanks for the quick response, not a specific viewty deal, just liked it,

I wouldnt class the g800 or g600 as a same class phone, what to do you think she should push for

problem is she got it direct i know how handsets are grouped together in retail. simple approach would be to say, if she got a £35 plan she should aim for the best phone available for free on a £35 plan most likely they'd say available at the time she actually took the phone, how long ago was that?
nicest ones at the moment i think are samsung tocca, SE c902 or samsung soul. but they may only be available for free on the high talkplans so they would be unlikely to give her that

hi,

she only got it about 4 months ago.

she is tired of ringing up and delaying getting a working phone whatever it maybe, so i think she may end up taking any phone

most samsungs are crap by todays standards, 3 exchamges = Different Model Replacement

Viewity is a non-windows touchscreen, i'd ask for something thaty meets that spec along with the other specs on the LG
