Orange contract con!!!!!

Hi, just a word of warning to those considering taking out a contract with orange. I took out a contract with orange paying £25/month a year ago. I recently phoned Orange to ask about a different deal as I am always paying between £30 -£35 month but still have minutes over. They told me that I had been paying for Orange World @£5/mth since the beginning of the contract I was not aware of this. Apparently you get it free for 2 months then they say that you receive a text asking if you want to continue. If you don't you have to text STOP, if not they will charge you £5 a month. (I can not remmember having that text but I am unable to prove it). Furthermore the bill has been cleverly designed to camouflage this extra payment......BEWARE!

Should be a text message on your itemised bill as showing from a 4-digit shortcode number (i think it's 4-digit, it might be 3). It is not a premium rate message (these are 5-digit numbers). It will show as free to receive.

If you can look at your bills and show you have not received it, they should offer you a refund - remember to look at all the bills as it may be on month 2/3/4.. or perhaps a later/earlier one).

Otherwise it will be on your itemised bill and that's why you've paid for it.
