    izzyh,

Don't want to heap more problems on you but when you take out new insurance you'll have to disclose that you've had insurance cancelled and the reason why !!!

Thanks for that, but I have already notified my new insurers of it , and they insured my without any problem , even with my 2 sp 30's

depends on people's version on ther term 'conviction'- to me that would involve a cour case, not a fixed penalty / points added by some !!!!!! in a hat..
Thanks, for your comment, thats what nobody seems to believe, my interpretation of 'conviction' was appearing in court, and obviously i naively did not think my fixed penalties were classed as convictions - maybe it would be better if you were asked on the application - do you have any of the following, and a list offences following to be able to choose from.

Anyway, it seems that I am to receive nothing for my 3 year old car being written off, meanwhile the police have implied that the hit and run driver was under the influence of drugs and had no insurance, and will probably be back driving on the streets until he is caught again

well you obviously have your views on me, which you are entitled to, but i really came on this sight to look for advice and perhaps wondered if anyone else had gone through this, not to be labelled thick and a blatant con merchant to a blatant judgemental person like yourself

Sorry but you got caught speeding and got a fine, what part of that doesnt scream motoring conviction

If it was just the fine fair enough but you got points too, I simply dont believe you or anyone else who accidentally leaves out material facts and as a result "accidentally" gets cheaper insurance

Also, my new insurer, who i have made aware of all the facts of this disaster, has insured me even cheaper than the post office, so you do have it wrong that i was , in your words, accidentally leaving out material facts to incite a cheaper insurance

    Again simply dont believe that

If you have fully disclosed you had insurance withdrawn for misrepresentation you would be lucky to get insured never mind reasonably cheap
Its irrespective whether you believe it or not

I object to being branded a liar from some anonymous person who does not even know me
