Anybody know if the Catchall is any good for the car?

Can't think what context you'd use it for in the car. It's for bare surfaces (laminate, tiles etc) so wouldn't be any use on the carpets in there. The unit's perhaps 12" x 10", so would be too bulky for cleaning the non-carpeted surfaces in a car (dashboard etc).

The mini-vacuum cleaner for £14.95 looks very handy for the car though, great spot and I just ordered one.

Q: Does the CatchAll use vacuum bags?
A: The BISSELL CatchAll is a bagless bare floor cleaner. The dirt and debris are collected in the dirt cup. The dirt cup should be emptied after each use.

Q: How long does it take to charge the CatchAll battery?
A: The battery should charge 8 hours for the initial charge and 6-8 hours to renew the charge.

Q: Is the CatchAll filter washable?
A: The CatchAll filter can be cleaned by handwashing it in warm water and mild detergent.

Q: May I use WET cloths in my BISSELL CatchAll?
A: BISSELL only recommends using DRY electrostatic cloths with this machine. The use of wet or pre-moistened cloths may damage your cleaner and void the warranty.

Q: What makes the BISSELL CatchAll so convenient?
A: The CatchAll gives you the benefit of a vacuum and electrostatic cloth cleaning in one bare floor cleaner. The vacuum picks up the large particles while the cloth picks up fine particles. The vacuum with the easy empty dirt container and washable filter also helps extend the life of the electrostatic cloths. Another great benefit of the CatchAll is that it is cordless. The battery pack can be easily removed to make charging convenient and ready to go.

Q: What makes the CatchAll safe for bare floors?
A: The CatchAll features a Soft'n Safe bare floor brush. The soft rotating bristles and rubber blades are specially designed to safely clean your bare floors.

Q: What type of cloths may be used in my CatchAll?
A: You may use any DRY electrostatic cloths in your BISSELL CatchAll. Several brands of dry electrostatic cloths are available at your local supermarket or grocery store.

Q: Where can I use the CatchAll bare floor cleaner?
A: The CatchAll allows convenient cleaning in a variety of bare floor locations: kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom. It can be used on any dry bare floor surface such as wood, linoleum, slate, or tile.

Q: Will the CatchAll work without a dust cloth?
A: You can use the CatchAll without the cloth for quick vacuuming pickups. You can also use the Catch All cloth without the vacuum turned on to quickly dust your floors.

I have just odered two of these.

    Good find and thanks.

I bought a cheap square mop that uses floor wipes for £3.99 from HomeBargains. The wipes seem to dry up really quick so I use a trigger spray with dilute disinfectant and spray whilst using the floor mop. I am too tight to go for gadgets. :rotfl:

I'm even tighter- I use old t shirts or duds and 17p bleach from nettos and lots of elbow grease

A mixture of vinegar and water gives good cleaning results too, and it's dead cheap!
No reliance should be placed on the above.

Beating clothes of the the shore rocks to clean them works well too. LOL

  • Does anyone know the power of the Bissell CatchAll?
I have the Go vac already but it is not good at picking up bits from my laminate flooring. Its pretty good on carpets though.

Now you got me worried, I went for the go-vac as it looked like it did a lot more than just my laminate kitchen floor ie car, carpet etc

But its main use will be for laminate so I hope it is OK
