Thanks Tiger, I did ring OR straight after and they said to ignore the calls!tigerfeet2006 wrote: »MOT make sure you tell the OR if you are being harrassed by this shower. The OR will tell them to take a long walk off a short plank.
Got another question - my ex has been made redundant and is stopping paying our maintenance in October. I have worked it out that with IS and full HB I will still be £220.00 a month short on my income now.
Should I inform the OR of this?Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
Sorry *bumping*

Hi MoT

I would say it would only be relevant if you have an IPA. Wouldn't hurt to tell him though I suppose, either way. Better to keep them *too* informed than not enough
After all, they do say you should inform them of ANY change of financial circumstances
You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

Had phone call today and I asked the guy to check what it says on my file and he said that I am BR, so I asked why he still felt it necessary to call me despite having received letters from CAP and the OR confirming my bankruptcy, he got really snotty with me so I put the phone down on him and when I picked it up a couple of minutes later to phone the OR about it he was still hanging on  .
It's kinda hard to understand the mentality of these people, isn't it?
On the income support question, it's proably best that you do tell the OR, though it's unlikely to make any difference.
£220 per month short sounds a bit concerning. Time for an SoA?0 -

This for 3 of us, 2 growing children who seem to eat me out of house and home! I cook fresh meals each day and we eat a lot of fruit. I also go to Costco and bulk buy things like toilet rolls (much cheaper) to try and bring the costs down. Our home is rented and is a detached property so loss of heat as no neighbours adjoining.Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
Hi all,
I have received a letter from the OR's office saying that they want to do a telephone interview with me on Friday at 11am  .
Well, I will be able to update them with the news that as of 31st October my exOH is stopping paying the maintenance so I will be £350 a month worse off after taking Income Support into account

Don't panick about it to much MOT. I am guessing that they just want to clarify a few things. Just make sure you have a glass of water near you to counter dry mouth. Just be as honest as you can and don't waffle. Answer the questions he asks but don't offer more than you have to. Also have a pen and paper with you to write notes about what is said and any questions you have as they occur to you.
Best of luck.Namaste DeeDee x0 -
Think the teloephone interview is just a formality.
