    Hi all,

    Quick question please?

I have changed utility supplier twice since I moved in here in April. Each time I thought the payments were included in CAP monthly payment and that CAP were paying them. Now I have received 2 bills from British Gas for around £30 in total and one from npower (who I changed to last) for £75.00.

I am now with Sainsbury's since 1st July.

Do I pay these bills? Or do I tell them I am now BR if so should I ring OR and explain first?

    Thanks all xx

  • Hi mumoftwins - welcome.

Regarding your utility bill question, I have recently received letters from my gas and electricity suppliers advising me that my monthly direct debits were going to go through the roof. When I rang to query the hike, they said it was because I was in arrears with them when they read my meters back in January. Interestingly, I had no idea about the debts as they hadn't informed me back in January.

I had to ring my OR to let them know my Income and Expenditure information had to be changed and she was so kind and said "well, we'll just add the debts to your bankruptcy as the debts were incurred before you went BR. Give me your account numbers and I'll get in touch with them".

Maybe this could be the case for you too

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

Quick update to say that I rang and wrote to OR about the fuel bills and they were really nice and just asked me to send in the paperwork. Hope OR doesn't now decide he wants to ring me :o .

But, am still getting phone calls from Buchanan, Clark and Wells even though I have told them that I was made BR on 16th July. Had phone call today and I asked the guy to check what it says on my file and he said that I am BR, so I asked why he still felt it necessary to call me despite having received letters from CAP and the OR confirming my bankruptcy, he got really snotty with me so I put the phone down on him and when I picked it up a couple of minutes later to phone the OR about it he was still hanging on  .

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.

    OMG!!! If only 00020148.gif .

I hadn't seen a £50 note for years until recently when I sold my OH's phone on ebay for £106 and the guy came to collect and gave me 2 £50 notes! I had a good examine of them and when I went to get petrol the next day I was panicking that the cashier would tell me they were a fake!

MOT make sure you tell the OR if you are being harrassed by this shower. The OR will tell them to take a long walk off a short plank.
