O2 are only doing this so that they can claim to be the biggest mobile operator in the UK.
Last month they managed to overtake Orange, it would appear this was SOLELY down to their free Sims offers.
The market is saturated - it looks like they sell on eBay for about £3 for 10 Sim cards and presumably these then get re-sold at Car Boot Sales for about £1-£2 each now???
The bottom has dropped out of the market for these. At least at one time you were sure to make a £1 profit per Sim!!
I have 3 addresses so can get virtually unlimited supplies of Sim cards, but there doesn't seem to be much point any more!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
I must be dim but whats the advantage of getting one of these? Don't you have to pay £10 per month to get 100 mins or 100 text messages.
That seems about an average deal to me - i must be missing the point. Can someone explain ?qui tacet consentire -

your not missing the point. When the offer first started it was great. Now other networks have caught up and over taken in some cases.
Couple years ago it was great. You'd get six and sell them on ebay for £5+ each. Now the market saturated as mentioned above.0 -

Damn right, Peeps used to want these big time, at one stage...pre free sims I was paying £9.99 a time and peeps I knew would bite my hands off to get them, when they started doing them for free it was a bonus as peeps would still give £10.00 for one, these days its actually difficult to give them away let alone sell them, but a t the same time, where else can you get 100 minutes for £10.00 on PAYT?Welcome, rogerramjet.

I still think that 02 are brill, I was spending almost £5 a week on vodafone payg just for txts so this deal is a great find for me. I've got loads of free 02 sims now, and while it's true that you can't flog them anymore,I'm busy converting my family who are still on vodafone!!Mortgage-free wannabe!0
