O2 v Motorola

I have recently bought a Tesco Motorola mobile phone, and need to transfer 100 old numbers from an old O2 simcard, however, new phone asks for password when I instal old simcard. Whom do I approach, Tesco or O2 - i.e. which company is responsible?

the new phone is locked to Tesco's Network, the phone needs unlocking from that network for a fee

you may be able to copy the numbers from the old sim to the old phone , then put in the tesco sim card and copy from the phone to that sim card

Tesco sim cards normally work in O2 phones but not the other way

Or you can buy a device which can back up your contacts. I believe there are stand alone devices as well as those which connect to a computer.

Google "SIM backup" and there are quite a few for under a tenner, plus it means you will have a backup should you lose your phone.
