Get £300 free credit to renew your contract!

I recently changed my mobile network, not because I wasn’t happy but because I wanted a shiny new PS3 as advertised on many websites. The only catch - I didn’t want to change my mobile phone number.
The only way to get a new PS3, laptop, PSP, Wii (the list goes on) is to sign up for a new contract, if you wish to do this within the same network you cannot keep the same phone number.
I was with Orange for about five years.
When I called to disconnect my phone with Orange’s retention dept they offered me £300 credit so that I could buy my own PS3 but still keep my dolphin tariff and get a new phone too. The only catch is I’d have to have an 18month contract, the same deal as with getting the free PS3 anyway.
I didn’t take them up on it, I'd already received my new phone from O2 and I wouldn’t part with £300 for a PS3 if I had it in my pocket but I’m stupid enough to convince myself that paying for via my £30 a month 18 month contract isn’t as bad! :j
