I should say so. Just wish a few other institutions would follow Icesave's lead ... who knows, perhaps they will.

Yep, just got this email in the last 5 minutes too. Good news!

I just wish ING Direct would stop sending me letters in the post nearly every week trying to get me to take out one of their fixed low rate accounts.

They probably noticed a few pound leaving a few accounts and adjusted the Interest rate to 6.3% to make it more competive again as Kaupthing Edge are at 6.5%. Good news for me though.
Icesave are also tying their luck out in the netherlands now as well.

    Anyone heard anything from icici?
  • With Kaupthing Edge dropping the minimum deposit from £1k to £100, 6.5% AER and a rate guarantee of at least 0.30% (gross) higher than the BoE rate until 1st February 2012, who's still with IceSave?!
  • Probably plenty still with them, including me. It was a breeze to setup with them, and there have been no problems running the account.

As long as they offer a rate which is consistent and not a mile off this week's (often temporary) best rate, I'm quite happy.
