Wednesday 25/06/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Still counting down to payday! 39 hours to go
Today I have- brought in breakfast and lunch
- bought an 18 crate of pepsi max to keep at work for £3.99 in somerfield - means I don't spend 95p on a bottle in the morning!
- rode my bike in (£1.60 tax relief for 8 miles in the spreadsheet for next May
) - cut a 2-4-1 voucher out from OK! magazine for ASK pizza, OH and I are on leave for 2 weeks from friday, one week spending in London so we're finding all the deals in advance
- Done an e-rewards survey, am saving up virgin air miles for trip to new york for my 30th next march (and to celebrate DFD!)
- checked pigsback and mystery shops, nothing!

Morning, well ive brought lunch to work and snacks :-)
Been sorting through bills, some of them way overdue but determined pay them off tomorrow/next week when paid.

Made my own lunch for work (2nd day on the trot!)
Worked out my budget for "living on cash" which I start on 1st
Reminded hubby to hang the washing on the line NOT use the dryer

Rang solicitor for update of house sale - been given completion date of 11th July - 3 weeks Friday!!:j
and I will:
Ring estate agent re sale of cooker
Ring around to hire a van for moving day
Pack
Walk to town for a few groceries from fruit & veg shop
That's it for today.

Funnily enough that's exactly what i've done, seeing as i walk to work its fine.
therefore, today i have:
-Lost wallet
-done clicks
-checked www.hotukdeals.com for freebies
-made sure my new spreadsheet for next month is up to date and ready to go
- brought in my own breakfast (cereal at work)
-brought in my own lunch and snacks (im a big guy and need to munch)
