Thanks I think I am about as reassured as I am going to be!!! Going to get booked up this weekend!
It would have been nice to have flown with an airline with inflight entertainment as the films help pass the time for me rather than clock watching - but hey ho, I'd rather have the extra cash to go shop!!0 -
We flew jet2 to Palma & again no issues. No delays, comfy seats (leather) on plane. Great service. Will use again next year. Used BMI Baby last year & never again... delays, landed at a different airport, no compassion.

I acknowledged that Jet2 stick to their rules, the poster asked for opinions which I gave.
Yes, I made a mistake, I meant Gatwick, not Heathrow.Filiss0 -

just to let everyone know easyjet have released there flights to tenerife from manchester for winter.
i paid £381 for flights with jet, easyjet would have cost me £150 for 2.
I really should listen to my own advice and not check prices once i'd booked.0 -
Easyjet are defo comp for Jet2 out of Manchester.
You will have a pleasent flight with Jet2 dont worry, yes the planes are old however reliable. The only thing you will notice is ( especially on a TFS as a longer flight) is its Sell, Sell, Sell you will be getting asked if you want things all flight which can get a littling annoying however thats how airlines are now and how they want the crew to be and Jet2 are no exception and prob the worst for doing it!! as they make a huge percent of there profit on onboard sales alone.New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.
No place in the world that can compare ♥ 2nd October 2010 ♥0 -
Don't worry about the age of the planes, most aircraft nowadays are at least ten years old but the componants on the aircraft are constantly being maintained and replaced so it's actually only the shell of the aircraft that is old, everything else is far newer!0

I've flown with Jet2 twice (to Ibiza) and thought they were fine. No delays, aircraft seemed as good as any others I had uses (although I do tend to do 'budget')
No problems at all. Enjoy your hols.0 -
Which surveys are based on Customer Service which is largely irrelevant to a cautious flyer. Both Jet2 and Thomas Cook have some old aircraft. This isn't a problem as aircraft are virtually rebuilt several times in their lifetime. Although Thomas Cook have faired badly with Which they are a very professional airline. I've been to TFS on one of Jet2's 757s..indifferent experience really. Old machine but it worked fine. Crew were pleasant enough..can't complain.Timmay!0
