I know just how you feel OP. I'm not into spending my life tidying up and would much rather have a nice wildlife garden than some begonia-coated twaddle. However one thing your agent could do with no bother at all is put one of the outside pictures (with the sun shining) at the top. It strikes me - as an southeastern outsider, who hasn't been to Barrow since the year dot - that the main selling point of your house is its gorgeous outlook, and they aren't even mentioning it!
Does the kitchen have that view? If so they are definitely missing a trick.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to take away the pictures of the bedrooms altogether - very few houses on rightmove in our area seem to have pictures of every single room, and they do seem a bit 1990s.
    Good luck with it.........

 That's because it doesn't have one, or are you looking at a different link to one posted ?

  • After looking at the photos of the property, I can understand why the OP wants to leave. I guess the fact that it's located in Barrow-in-Furness only compounds the desire to move out asap.

I'm sure once the OP finds that they don't get the viewing they desire, they will remember some of the posts and perhaps take on board some of the recommendations.

What is it they say, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink (perhaps in this case its because the water is dirty and contains tadpoles and frogs)...
  • judging by the quality of the photos, the EA isn't trying to sell it.

I'd probably view it just to see if it is reaklly as bad as it seems in the photos (dark, small and unkempt) but I'm perverse.

"begonia-coated twaddle" is one thing I agree, but this looks like a tank training ground, it would be better not to post pictures of anything, rather than that. The rest is somewhat fussy and uncoordinated, and the actual structure is hardly charming.

I would have thought that the only thing that will sell it is a reduction in price, it's not going to sell on charm or location.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Although I understand all the reasons that are pushing the OP to want this all settled as soon as possible, if she has displayed a similar shirty attitude to them as she has on here, the only result will be that the agent is alienated.

That's a foolish thing to do as like them or not, they have access to potential purchasers which the seller does not. Stroppiness usually has a price!

So as my heading says' Where am i going wrong with the sale of my property.'
We used this EA last time we sold and they were good (8yrs ago).

Perhaps you could try a different tac, advertise as superb home for learner driver.
Every oppertunity to practise hill starts!

Never understood why people would buy property with Mount Snowdon slopes pretending to be driveways?
