Welcome aboard Karb!!
I have paid a paltry £5 off my debt today, as a result of being paid for a mystery shop. But at least it is £5 I will not have to find again!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Well done hypno.
It might seem like a paltry £5 but I've just worked out that if I pay off a paltry £5 every day between now and Christmas I'll have paid off £520 towards my target.Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -
agreed, Karb - indeed all my paltry amounts have added up to me paying off almost £18500 this year.........wooooooooohoooooooo!!
Almost there..Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Hi Hypno,
Nothing at the moment but OH is getting paid either tomorrow or Thursday and he worked extra so should have a good bit to pay off. Unfortunately he is back to uni tomorrow so that is the end of the big chunks! Never mind, at least he will be finished next year and we can start making big inroads again!
How are things with everyone?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hi everyone not been on for a while, trying to re jig my budget again as OH is just working basic hrs at the moment which is not good news. I've not yet managed to clear my egg which i'm a bit dissapointed about and i'm trying to decide whther i'll be better off using my overdraft to clear it. It currently has a balance of £340 n my o/d charges are a lot cheaper than intrest on egg plus i hate being in my o/d so i'm more likely to pay it off quicker.- Think i've just talked myself into that one. What would you do?
As far as my cat and visa go i'm making v small overpayments towards them, still not enought so i can say wow look at the dent i've made but i've decided baby steps are the best way to go. The last thing i want is to make bigger overpayments n then be stuck at the end of the month.
Just waiting for some cashback to clear which i'll then be able to use to pay towards a debt. So getting there slowly but surely.
Good to see everyone else is doing really well.£387.39/£196.46

Hi Nickynoo,
Sounds like you are doing great! I had to rejig my challenge as well from a target of 18k to a target of 22k and was disappointed too but I know that my debt is going down albeit not as quickly as I would have liked!
It sounds like paying off the egg with the overdraft is the most sensible option, particularly if the interest on the egg is more and you are likely to clear your overdraft first.
I think the little bits of cash do add up quickly because in the last 2 months I have managed to reduce one of my credit cards from £723 to £539 just by putting in little bits here and there (i.e from quidco etc). Before that it would have just ended up in my bank account and would have been spent anyway!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
