When you do a search on this site it only brings up rooms that can accomodate all members of your party. Last year we went to sharm el sheik and had a room for 5. This year we have booked to go to turkey on July 21st, we have got a room for 6 half board for £1800 :-)
thats a fab price
what hotel is it ?

Ibiza - there are several Fiesta hotels on this island all of which you can use their facilities if staying in one of them. We have used the Algarb and Don Toni in Playa Den Bossa which I would recommend for children of your ages. They also have a Fiesta sports complex near the Fiesta Bahamas, Fiesta Don Toni and Fiesta Palm Beach. Well worth looking into your children will love it, the entertainment is great and if you dont want to watch whats on in one you just walk to the other.2008£3002009£13002010£15002011£41952012£21942013£1494

We went as a family of 6 to an apartment in Menorca but there weren't enough beds so my daughter ended up on a camp bed in the living room.
After that we stayed in two rooms, one adult & two kids in each, it worked out better because we had two bathrooms and easier to process the kids through for showers! Last year we went as a family of 7 (grandad came too) so again we had two rooms, you might have to request rooms next to each other but it really worked out best and about the same price.

This might sound a bit out of the ordinary but there are 5 of us, myself, OH, son aged 10, daughter 8 and daughter 2 and we had the time of our lives a couple of years ago in Slovenia of all places!!!!. It cost 1900 for a fortnight self catering but we were able to use the hotel kids club and pool and hired a car so we could get about . The kids ended up visiting 4 countries Slovenia, Austria, Italy and Croatia during a 2 week trip and really enjoyed themselves. It was nice for us as well because it wasn't completely packed and we could relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!:eek:0

It was really good.. The kids loved doing things like going up the mountains in the chairlift and then sledging back down. Also because Slovenia is such a small country you can literally be in the mountains in the morning and at the coast in the afternoon. theres a real contrast there. Don't recommend driving a Skoda estate car up the Julian Alps though!!! ( Italy - Slovenia border)It was a bit scary on all the hairpin bends!!!! Would still go back there though!!!
We went to Croatia last year because having crossed the border in the car whilst we were in Slovenia we wanted to see a bit more of the place. Went to Cavtat which is near Dubrovnik and again that was really good too, although the beaches are a bit rocky. You can take boat trips out to the islands and that is a lot of fun. the kids loved it. In fact we are going back to Dubrovnik next month and then travelling accross the border into Montenegro as we went on a trip there whilst we were in Croatia and would like to see more of the place because it is so beautiful. Hope this helps.loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!:eek:0 -
We are a family of 5 too and have experienced the same problems when looking for a hotel holiday.
In general I have found hotels (usually A/I) in Turkey and Egypt catered for larger families without too many penalties. I think we will have all found finding a cheaper holiday is thwarted because the hotel room charges for 5 or 6 adults even if you are 2 adults and 3 kids.
I’ve never really found a ‘cheap’ holiday but the places we have been as a family of 5 are:
Lykia World, Olu Denis, Turkey
Sultan Gardens Resort, Sharm El Sheik, Egypt
Crazy Reindeer Hotel, Levi, Finland (we went in winter for the santa experience)
I found this website, I don’t think it is updated very often but it was a great place for me to start!

We are a family of 5, with teenagers, and we have had great times at Club Med, yes I know it looks expensive but they do great deals if you book early or late, you can sort your own flights if you don't live near London (we live near Manchester Airport). All food and drink (wine/beer) included, sports equipment provided - archery to roller skating, evening entertainment is fantastic, and when all else fails you can enjoy watching the Continentals on holiday - just go, you'll see what I mean - Acquagym!!!!!***************************************

OK - I know that money is relative and all that BUT I just had a look at the Club Med website. £7700 for 2 wks in Portugal with NO TRANSPORT!!! And that's a "last minute" price for next week!!!
Our last two hols have been at Club Asteria in Belek, Turkey. We had two (large) interconnectiong rooms. Our kids were 10,11 & 13 last year when we went. It's one of very few places that have a TEEN CLUB as well as a kids one (invaluable unless you want a "Kevin" being "bored" throughout your hols;) ).
It cost us £3500 (AI) - however, it's gone up considerabley:mad: .
This year I managed to get a 2 wk hol in Kefalonia, Greece. 2 rooms in an apartment with own pool and 30mtrs from the sea - £1700:j - WE GO IN 10 DAYS!!!!!
GOOD LUCK IN YOUR SEARCH!!!

We've had some fabulous holidays at Cambrils park just outside Salou. The bungalows sleep 6. It is a family focused, safe enviroment in which to stay. Our kids still want to go back there ( and the oldest 2 are teenagers!). You can book with them directly and organise a cheap flight from Ryan air to Reus, or if you prefer I believe eurocamp will sell you a package.0
