Has anyone ever had a faulty gas meter

:huh: Has any one ever actually had their gas meter checked and it found to be running too high. Ours is knackered and even npower have said something must be wrong with it. But has anyone actually been told theirs is naff. I know 3 people who have had faulty ones but now i think im just plain unlucky.

Aparantly it is almost unknown for a gas meter to be wrong - i.e. under-reading.
Lots of people might think they are faulty, but it rarely turns out that is the case.
You are aware that you pay for the test if it is not faulty???
What makes you thnk it is 'knackered'?
